Marzina Haque

Marzina Haque has been actively promoting women's rights and education in Bangladesh. From 1964-1992, she was the Head Mistress of Chapai Nawabganj Girl's High School, and from 1992-1996, she served as Divisional Inspector of schools. Next, Marzina Haque was appointed as the Deputy Director for the Education Department of the Government of Bangladesh for four years, starting from 1996. She has received a BA Hons in 1961, B.Ed in 1963, MA in 1970, and received educational training at the American University of Beirut. In 1972, Marzina Haque founded "Koilani Mohila Shangshad," a prominent non-profit charitable organization that works to improve the lives of distressed women by providing them technical training for self-employment; she still serves as their Secretary. Marzina Haque is also the District Commissioner of Girl's Guide.
